Mike Neal started Neal Manufacturing, Inc. in 1993, under the name of Double N Trailers. In 1993, it was a two-man operation and they built approximately 75 trailers their first year. In 1996, the company incorporated and changed its name to Neal Manufacturing, Inc. To supply the growing demand for their trailers they relocated to a larger facility located in Pleasanton, KS in 1997. In 1999, they produced 950 trailers. Since then, the company has enjoyed continuous growth and success, producing more than 1000 trailers in 2001.

Presently, Neal Manufacturing, averages about 800 trailers yearly. The company builds 35 different trailer models, with each model having approximately 75 different options. Along with custom orders, the company does repair work and installation of trailer accessories such as hitches gooseneck ball and wiring.

Neal Manufacturing, Inc. takes pride in quality, custom-built flatbed trailers. All Neal trailers are built with pressure treated pine floors, D.O.T. lighting, Dexter axels, new tires and new wheels. No trailer is mass produced. Each trailer is built from start to completion by a team consisting of a welder and fitter. The trailers are then sandblasted over all metal surfaces before being primed and painted. After the trailers are painted with Sherwin Williams paint and primer, they are then wired. On all tandem axle trailers, the wiring is encased in conduit.

In addition to the trailers that are built on site, Neal Manufacturing sells enclosed and stock trailers. They also sell the commercial and residential product lines of Hustler lawn mowers.
